White Doves

Today we finally had the opportunity to go to White Doves, a safe house for women rescued from sex trafficking and prostitution. The girls practiced beauty salon skills they have been learning by giving our team manicures and pedicures! We were also able to purchase some hand-made items from the girls such as cards, bookmarks and wallets. What an incredible day it was to be able to encourage these women and witness such a beautiful transformation of their lives. White Doves currently houses about 40 women rescued from many different situations from all over Cambodia and neighboring countries. Recently, 7 new women were brought to the safe house and as you can imagine, they are having difficulty adjusting. Please pray for these women to be open to receiving care and experiencing God's redeeming love.

With Love,
Natalie

ps- we come home in exactly one week!:)

  1. Hello Cambodia Team 2011,

We are so excited to hear you will be returning home soon, but we are more excited to hear of all the wonderful experiences and things you have accomplished in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I am sure this has been a big spiritual, emotional, and physical experience you will always treasure in your walk with Christ. We are glad to hear all are well and whole again. Our prayers will never cease.
Specifically, to our ray of sunshine, Ashley, we are so proud of you! We all love and miss you so much! I am sure you will have much to share. Grandma Mary sends her love and is fervently praying for everyone.
Please if possible give your dad a call, their is a time issue for your schooling that will not wait until your return and requires certain information, but know that everyone is doing great on this end, including Belle.

God Bless you all! Love Mrs. Tafoya

  2. I recently went to Cambodia with a team for World Hope International. Our team were with World Hope Australia. While we were there we had a chance to go to the White Doves Centre for Young Women. While we were there we heard the testimony of the Norwegian man who started it. It is an awesome ministry that him and his wife are doing there. We all bought so much of what the girls had made to raise funds for the centre. We also went to the house they have started for young men, teaching them the Khmer alphabet and Maths. And also other skills. When we were there, there was a man who was a builder who was teaching them skills in building. they were building a shelter that they can eat under. and they are also going to do some aquaculture and vegie gardens. This is and awesome ministry and hope and pray that they get more financial support. Prayers are always going up for this Centre and many like it...well done to those who have taken this on and put their lives on the line for these girls and women. May God bless you over and above all that you can imagine....GOD BLESS YOU 100 FOLD AND MORE
